Sustainability and Commitments

At the Lamolla Group we are a family business, and as such, we feel the obligation to contribute our small grain of sand with our commitment to the needs of certain groups in different areas (such as employment, social action, the environment, good governance and transparency), through voluntary and supportive involvement.

To achieve these objectives, we collaborate with the following groups:

People at risk of social exclusion and children with difficult environments: We have been collaborating since 2013 with the Pere Claver Foundation, within the "Sense Sabates" programme. This programme is a service for collecting and distributing shoes through public and private entities that care for people at risk of social exclusion and homeless people.

Insertion of unemployed people:
We take on work experience placements for people who are taking occupational courses from the Catalan Employment Service (SOC) such as the courses "Auxiliary warehouse activities" and "Organisation and management of warehouses".

Collaboration with the Joan Brossa Institute of Barcelona with CFGM of Commercial Activities: The students of the Joan Brossa Institute who are doing the dual training cycle in "Commercial Activities" can choose our company to do an internship in a point of sale. In this way we help young people who are interested in the world of commerce and who are doing these studies, to see the practical side and be able to start their insertion into the world of work. Some of these students end up with an employment contract in the company.

People with disabilities: We work with the AMPANS foundation, very important in the Bages area, which is dedicated to accompanying and supporting people with intellectual or physical disabilities or in situations of vulnerability. AMPANS has a Special Work Centre in which, apart from various activities such as gardening, cleaning, handling, preparation of events for companies, they also have a cheese factory, vineyards where the wines are sold, etc. We collaborate with AMPANS, either with direct hiring or with internships for these people with disabilities or at risk of exclusion, in order to contribute to the important cause of giving work to people with difficulties so that they can feel integrated into society and can normalise their lives as much as possible.

Contracting services with Special Work Centres (CET): We buy materials and services from companies that employ people with disabilities. Specifically, we work with Grupo Cant, where we have contracted all the cleaning services for Central Services and some shops, pest control for some work centres, with whom we do the dyeing of uniforms, we buy all the cleaning materials. We also work with La Factoria Social de Terrassa - La Fact (formerly FUPAR) where we buy the company's uniforms (which are manipulated and printed by people with disabilities), we buy the flowers, some vinyls, photo calls... And we also have the services of AMPANS, a foundation in which some years we make Christmas presents for all the Group's staff.

Collaborations with Universities, Professional Training Centres and Institutes: The company sometimes takes in interns from different studies, specifically we work or have worked with the UAB, UPC, ESIC, CITM, EUNCET, INS Nicolau Copèrnic, Institut Castellet, etc.

At the Lamolla Group we comply with the 2% quota for the reservation of jobs for people with disabilities established in article 42.1 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2013, of 29 November, which approves the revised text of the General Law on the Rights of People with Disabilities and their Social Inclusion. On the one hand, the company employs workers with disabilities, both physical and mental, and on the other hand, the company works with two CET Special Work Centres.

Furthermore, at the Lamolla Group we are committed to respecting and satisfying people's needs, as well as treating them all under the same premises and conditions, and for this reason we have an equal treatment and opportunities plan. Effective gender equality is one of our permanent and fundamental objectives, as are safety, quality, respect for the environment and productivity.

We declare our firm decision and demand to base our daily actions on non-discrimination on grounds of race, colour, sex, nationality, language, religion or social origin, equal treatment and opportunities and their dissemination among all staff. And we declare our commitment to the establishment and development of policies that integrate equal treatment and opportunities between women and men, without discriminating directly or indirectly on the grounds of sex, as well as to the promotion and encouragement of measures to achieve real equality within our organisation, establishing equal opportunities between women and men as a strategic principle of our Corporate and Human Resources Policy, in accordance with the definition of this principle established in Organic Law 3/2007, of 22 March, for effective equality between women and men.
